20mm Cold War
At the local flea market today and was given these three buildings because the lady just wanted rid of them. Ideal for 20mm Cold War Germany. Two village type houses and a autobahn road diner. Think these will be given some Milan teams to stop the Red horde.
Houses with some 20mm Cold War Britannia British infantry the middle one is a type of diner that used to be found at motorway stops along the German Autobahns. Most have now disappeared to be overtaken by bigger restaurant chains.
Front of the houses need a paint but gives me some thing to do lol

Dwarve Orc wars terrain
I went to the local Flea Market today. Just browsing round the stalls found a model castle in some disrepair after taking my bag of figures out ( I carry a zip lock bag of a 6mm sci fi,10mm WWII, 10mm fantasy and a 20mm WWII figure to check scale) finding it was almost perfect for my 10mm LOTR, I asked the lady how much? She told me it was free as she just wanted rid of it she then gave me another couple of 20mm HO scale buildings for free.(more of these on a later post.)
I think this will be ideal for a old Ruined castle protecting an old Ford across a river or the end of a valley through the mountains.
                                                                   The Castle Ruins
A close up of the moulded base
With some Copplestone castings Dwarves and Orcs for scale

With having built a large Dwarven army I started looking into the LOTR Dwarve Orc War as alluded to in the Hobbit. After reading up I realised that most of the battles were fought underground. So I sat down and thought what do you normally see in Dark damp places?
Mushrooms and stalactites (they hang down) and stalagmites(they reach up). Being as I'm in Germany I knew the Germans make all sorts of things for Autumn so I went looking in the shops. Found some little plastic red and white mushrooms but they didn't look right. Then I found some foam mushrooms on sales for between 1.00 euro and .50 cent so I bought 6.00 euros worth.
Here you can see both types the larger one with two sprouts was 1.00 euro and the smaller was .50 cent. So now what to do about Stalagmites. Looking round Tedi (a local cheap shop) I saw some Christams lights looking closer they had icicle looking tips. So I bought a set to see how they worked.
Whole light set cost 3.99 Euros giving me 8 Icicles/Stalagmites
                                                         After lights taken out
After a drybrush of greys above centre is an ice tower using same principles below is a closer picture of the stalagmites
